OSHA 30 Hours General Industry
For managers and supervisors, safety officers, or anyone interested in pursuing a career in the safety profession, the NASP/IASP 30-hour General Industry course is intended to serve as a roadmap for developing and fostering a safety culture in the workplace. This course will provide an extensive review of OSHA’s regulations, standards, and practices as outlined in 29 CFR Part 1910.
You will learn how to manage the fundamental components of a workplace safety and health program as a student. This entails being aware of your employer’s obligations for worker safety as well as your own and your employee’s rights to information regarding any risks associated with your work.
In addition to this instruction, students must get extra training on specific job hazards as mandated by OSHA requirements. Participants will receive a NASP 30-Hour General Industry certificate and wallet card upon successfully completing the course.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to:

- Understand the distinction between limited spaces and those that require a permit.
- Learn the three components of a process safety management system (PSM) and how handling hazardous chemicals can help avert disastrous situations.
- Recognize appropriate machine protection and learn how to avoid possible harm.
- Understand the proper procedures for constructing, evaluating, and disassembling scaffolds and the best practices for working with them.
Participants will also comprehend aerial lifts, hoists, and slings. - Recognize the significance of risk mitigation and preventive measures in relation to heat-related illnesses and stress.
